Day 10 – Favorite Fighter Anime

Next up on our list, is What’s your Favorite Fighter Anime?

Now, this is a pretty straightforward and simple challenge. If we are pertaining to this challenge are we talking about a fighter as in Martial Arts or Grappling? or Action as a whole? well anyway, I grow up watching anime with the likes of Dragonball Z(Classic), Flame of Recca, Yuyu Hakusho(Ghost Fighter), etc.

Those were the best fighter anime’s in the 90’s, as time has passed we saw the dawn of the era of Naruto, One Piece, Fairy Tail, Bleach, Hunter x Hunter, and for the new generations the likes of Akame Ga Kill, Kill la Kill, Attack on Titan, Sword Art Online, One Punch Man, Buko Hero Academia and many more.

If I were to choose from it all, then it has to be…

I know it’s not any of the anime mentioned above, but yeah this is also one of my best anime as well as the best in the action(fighting) genre, The infamous Vongola Family led by Tsuna in the anime Katekyo Hitman Reborn!

I mentioned in a previous post that I binged watch this anime(they have a total of 9 season). Katekyo Hitman Reborn is about a 14-year-old boy named Tsunayoshi Sawada or Tsuna who is a regular school kid in Japan who actually sucks at almost everything that he does, he is then mentored by the Worlds Best Hitman named ‘Reborn’ who is a baby(pertaining to his size) to be the 10th Generation head of the most powerful Mafia Family in the world, the Vongola Family..

The show has a weak start probably around mostly on the first season but then it catches up and leaves you wanting for more, thus the reason of me binge watching the whole series in a span of I think 1 month.

I believe what separates Hitman Reborn and makes it special from other shows is its characters. The creators have done an excellent job in creating fresh, very unique and hilarious characters that will have you laughing at their antics in every episode, the amount of support and loyalty they give the protagonist is almost heartwarming.

Each character has something unique to them which stands out from the rest of the people Tsuna knows, whether it be a saying or a style, there aren’t any two characters who are similar really.

I’d recommend it to anyone who is looking for a long running shounen anime with some of the best action scenes without having to sift through 50+ episodes to reach the real plot. KHR is definitely an addictive anime worth watching as tested and proven by me of course 😉

Rating: 9.5/10

Well that is for this day, Catch you guys tomorrow!

Day 9 – Best Anime Villain

What’s up guys, it’s another day for the 30-day anime challenge… Let’s move on to the next one,  ‘Who is your Best Anime Villain?’

When I read this question I already have my answer quite frankly, and with all the villains that I know through watching anime he is one of the evilest and also one of my favorite characters as a resemblance to Lelouch vi Britannia from Code Geass in the previous challenge about my favorite male character.

Without further ado…

here is my best Anime Villain…

Yeah, you were probably expecting it already…. It is Yagami Light from Death Note!.

As much as he is similarly talented and gifted as Lelouch he also has a huge ego to match with it. Through the entire show, Light is an especially interesting villain because he is also the main character of the series so to speak, everything centers on him and his possession of Ryuk’s Death Note (a Shinigami diary that kills whose name is written down, humans have certain stipulations to this effect) and his alias Kira.

He’s the type of guy who believes that the end does justify the means and sought to change the world in his own way with a noble goal but a questionable sense of morality, and as his story progresses he becomes a full on overlord of humanity.

Light is a fantastic character though he is technically a bad guy because that was the way the show was set up but you can’t help but be drawn into his ideals and philosophy, aside from the part that he really did wanted to be a godlike figure. Even when he was the bad guy you can still sympathize with him as a person who only wanted to make the world a better place as much as Lelouch so you can see the similarities between these two.

Though we wished that he would lose to his counterpart L, we still kind of root for him to come out of the story as the winner, I would refer to him as the Walter White of anime in the sense where he would consider himself a good guy even though the society does not believe so.

That is all for this day! Thank you for reading.

Day 8 – Favorite Anime Couple

Day 8 – Favorite Anime Couple

This is probably one of my most favorite questions in the 30-day anime challenge and with all honesty did not take me too long to pick an answer. Romance had always been my favorite genre of all.

You may ask what would be the deciding factor? and what important aspects should be considered? To be frank with you I have tons of couples that I find most appealing and most of it are from bittersweet anime series so my criteria for judging would be based on the story itself and how the characters portrayed and played the part.

I would like to share some of my runner ups for this challenge…

Arima and Kaori (Your Lie in April)

One of my most favorite couples, the anime was truly beautiful and animated to perfection. I don’t want to spoil anyone who has never watched this series, all I can say is that they are one of the most heart touching couples you are going to come across.

Okabe and Kurisu (Steins;Gate)

I don’t need to say anything except for the fact that I am totally biased of this series(but in a good way). Well, what can I say from the part that Okabe and Kurisu was also a part of my top couple they didn’t make it as my #1 but they came in a close second with just some few points.

.. And finally my most favorite anime couple

Tomoya and Nagisa (Clannad, After Story)

Clannad will always be a special show for me as when I was starting out on watching anime. I was inspired to do my AMV(Anime Music Video) editing because of this show… Tomoya and Nagisa are a portrayal of a pair in love who vow to stay together irrespective of the hardships they are faced with.

This is just a beautiful show that no words can ever describe, Tomoya and Nagisa, really portrayed the feeling of love, care, and affection throughout only about 44 episodes. The 1st season was just of how they started getting to know each other but the after story was where the tears really start falling. When you see those two always being there for each other through all the hardships just make you wanna cry.

I don’t wanna spoil anymore but yeah it was truly a masterpiece series in the Slice-of-Life and Drama genre.

Thank you for reading all my thoughts, Let me guys know who are your favorite couples? See you guys on Day 9…

Till then.

Day 7 – Your Anime Crush

Moving on to Day 7, Who is your Anime Crush?

On Day 4, I answered Mashiro Shiina as my favorite female character(as of the moment), and you are probably expecting that I will answer her again? Nope! wrong…

You see I have seen countless anime’s and my taste have changed since I first started watching. I remember that my first Anime crush was Belldandy from Ah! My Goddess, I read her through a book which is popular in my country, I’m talking about K-Zone.

Then in years and spans of watching anime, I have found too many attractive characters… like Mirajane from Fairy Tail, Yuzuki Eba from Kimi no Iru Machi, Boa Hancock(she’s hot!) from One Piece, and like really I can name another 10-20+ more.

Well then let’s showcase my Anime Crush who have topped all of the runner ups…

Nothing beats my all time crush Makine Kurisu from Steins;Gate …

Like really I would marry a life-sized Makine Kurisu even lmao, She is totally best girl in my books.

She is very sensible and mature(what I really love in a girl), she is very calm and collected even when someone is acting tense in front of her. She can be very timid at times and also has tsundere tendencies

The thing that I like most about her is that she is very smart and even accomplished at a young age. She is very sarcastic at times, she can be very sweet and mean all at the same moment(crazy attitude of ladies)… Lastly, I love her passionate nature and that is always one of the characteristics that I really love in an anime character.

So yeah that is my waifu Kurisu

Catch you all again next time!

Day 6 – Anime You Want To See But Haven’t Yet

Whats up guys! It’s Day 6 of the 30-day anime challenge, and we move to the next challenge “What anime you want to see but haven’t yet?”

This is a pretty straightforward challenge, though in the whole span of watching anime I have skipped a lot of series.

Well, let’s get this over with!

maxresdefault (1)

My pick is Samurai Champloo ..

I don’t know why I have the urge to watch this show, I just have a gut feeling that I will really be enjoying it.

I have actually passed this anime a couple of times but never really found the opportunity to binge watch it. Maybe because of this challenge I will finally start this anime.

Some of my notable choices: Gurren Lagann, Bakemonogatari Series, Monster, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventures, Nana, Baccano … but yeah I believe it is going to take awhile due to my busy schedule, we will see!

Cheers! that is it for today’s challenge.

Day 5 – Anime You’re Ashamed You Enjoyed

Now, this is something that you don’t get asked more often than not, What is the anime that you are ashamed that you really enjoyed? Well, for starters, it doesn’t make sense why would you be ashamed of something you enjoyed?

I am trying to decipher in my head what are the animes that I despise and yet I seemingly enjoyed, lmao this is a hard one.

I would pick something like too much ecchi maybe?, or a fugly story/plot or just animated really shitty with not so appealing CG and stuff… but in the case is that you enjoyed it!! but you are ashamed of it? LOL, I’ll be honest with you guys and whoever created this 30-day list, This question is total BS in my opinion.

Well I don’t wanna skip anything on this challenge so I will just answer it based on my own interpretation of the question, here it goes:

Highschool of the Dead … Goodbye!~

Kidding… Like really to be honest with you guys this is the very definition of the hype gone wrong. Before it released in 2010 where the hype of the post-apocalyptic era came to place and this show was expected to be a good representation of it in the anime world.

For those of you who don’t know, let me give you the main points of this anime: Zombies, Guns, Boobs and More Boobs!

That’s it, I’m not even kidding.

In all seriousness, this is one of the worst anime I’ve ever seen. Here is one of those anime that really struggles to understand what it’s trying to be. Simply put, this show is bad. It is bad on a rather insulting level too. What could have been an enjoyable zombie romp had to be castrated with annoying characters, stupid plot moments, inconsistent logic, unbelievable amounts of fan service, and moments that just make you scratch your head and wonder how this ever made it into production.

But yeah, I enjoyed every little bit of it (not for the reasons the creators would probably like) but then I can say I’m ashamed of that feeling. (because of that reason)

I would have already erased this past memory in me and this challenge made me remember it again, Hahaha lmao!

So what animes did you guys watch that you are ashamed that you enjoyed?

Till then!

Day 4 – Favorite Female Anime Character

It’s the 4th day of my 30-day anime challenge, right after my favorite male character we move on to my favorite female anime character…

To be honest, I don’t really have one female character who really left a mark on me…(As I am a big shounen fan) There aren’t a lot of female characters that stand out, unlike their male counterparts.

Most people would have chosen in this challenge(IMO): Asuna from Sword Art Online, or Mikasa Ackerman from Shingeki no Kyojin, or Erza from Fairy Tail, or Nami from One Piece, or Hinata from Naruto, etc. and the list goes on.

My favorite male character was somewhat of a badass whilst with my pick for my female character is rather the opposite of it.

Here is my favorite Female Anime Character…

Mashiro Shiina from Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo….

Isn’t she the most adorable female character would you think? I had few options to choose from like my first anime crush Belldandy from Ah! My Goddess, or Haruhi from Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.

But yeah, Nothing beats Mashiro Shiina

She is btw a child prodigy, well known as a world famous artist. Although she is that prestige she knows nothing about anything except Art. She is very reliant on others just to get done of almost the basic of things and also lacks common sense.

She is very humble despite being successful at her practices, she doesn’t care about fame nor esteem, She is very obsessive with her passion even neglecting her sleep or basic needs just to get it done. She allows her emotions to control her actions as she doesn’t have any logical way of thinking like wrong way of expressing her feelings.(which is cute btw)

Though with all said and done, I believe that’s what makes her too charming and a lovable character for me.  The feeling that you want to take care of her and such. I’m not a big fan of strong characters which is why my choice for a female is quite the opposite of my male.

Well, that’s it for my Favorite Female Anime Character… Would love to hear your favorite Female Anime Character, feel free to comment down below!

Cheers Till then~
